One Hour Cinnamon Rolls

One Hour Cinnamon Rolls

prep time: 30 minutes
cook time: 25 minutes

How to make:

  • Add melted butter to a large bowl. Heat milk for 45 seconds and add to butter; along with yeast. Stir to combine, cover with a towel and let rest 10 minutes until yeast bubbles.
  • Add egg, salt, vanilla and flour 1/2 cup at a time, stirring between each.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, mix all ingredients for the filling. Roll dough out to 1/8" thick between two pieces of parchment paper. Use a spoon or spatula to spread the filling evenly over the entire inside to the edges.
  • Roll the dough into a log (hotdog style), working away from you. Use unflavored dental floss or a serrated knife to cut into 12 equally sized pieces. Lightly score before you cut to ensure they're even in size.
  • Coat a 9x13 baking dish with butter or olive oil spray. Place cinnamon rolls inside and bake for 22-25 minutes.
  • While rolls are cooking, use a hand mixer to combine all frosting ingredients. Top hot cinnamon rolls and serve.
