EASY HOMEMADE PAPPARDELLE PASTA
Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour plus more for dusting
- 2 large eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Coarse sea salt
Instructions
DIRECTIONS
- To the bowl of a stand mixer with the dough hook attached, add flour and ¾tsp sea salt and stir with a spoon to combine.
- Form a well in the center and add your eggs, olive oil and 3T water.
- Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Add more water if your dough is too crumbly.
- Mix on medium for 5 minutes.
- Turn the dough out onto a well floured surface and cut into 4 pieces.
- Dust a rolling pin and roll one piece at a time as thin as you can get it.
- Using your hands, gently roll the dough into a log.
- Cut crosswise into ¾ inch wide pieces.
- Place cut noodles on a large baking sheet dusted with flour as you complete each piece of dough.
- When ready to cook, bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Add salt for seasoning. (I season mine with chicken bullion powder to add flavor, but salt works too!)
- Boil pasta for 5-6 minutes until just al dente.
- Mix with your favorite sauce and serve to four!
