10 INGREDIENT BEEF STIR FRY
Ingredients
- 2 sirloin steaks sliced very thin
- ½ red onion chunked
- 1 zucchini cut in half and sliced
- 1 red bell pepper chunked
- 1 c jasmine rice
- ⅔ C low sodium soy sauce
- 2 t red pepper flake less if you don’t want it spicy
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 T brown sugar
- 1 T corn starch
Instructions
- Bring rice and ⅓C water in a pot to a boil.
- Cover and simmer on medium/low for 10-12 minutes. Don’t peek. Trust.
- Open and fluff with a fork for perfect rice every time.
- In a large skillet, heat canola or vegetable oil and sauté veggies seasoned with salt and pepper 4-5 minutes until done.
- Set aside.
- Add a splash more oil to your skillet and crank to medium/high.
- Add steak strips seasoned with salt and pepper in a single layer so they brown evenly.
- You might have to do this in 2 batches.
- Let them sear in a very hot skillet for 2 minutes on each side. It might get a little smoky in your kitchen!
- Mix all remaining ingredients to make your sauce.
- Once steak is cooked, add veggies and sauce and mix to combine.
